Architecture Culture & History 2 [ARC 60203] is a continuation of investigation of architecture history development that began in Architecture Culture & History 1 [ARC 60103]. Lectures will provide detailed accounts of the principal developments in the Western world from the revolutionary period to the present day. Buildings will be explored with reference to major contemporary examples and the work annd philosophy of significant exponents. Students will undertake a major research of a significant building, complete with investigation of the major influences that led to its development and in turn its influence in other architectural aspects.
Project 1 : Timeline and Diagram Analysis
This project allow students to undertake a research analysis process on Modern Malaysian architecture practices throughout history through literature review and document analysis and present an appropriate chronological account of the Malaysian architecture based on the understanding gained through the analysis procedure.
In group of 6, we are assigned to carry out research analysis on Wisma Lee Building, Kuala Lumpur and University Hospital, Kuala Lumpur. All the information are combined into an A5 width foldable booklet with other groups.

REFLECTION
Through this assignment, I have learnt how to produce a diagrammatic analysis illustratively and in text, a critical chronology analysis interpretation of Modern Malaysian architecture.
Project 2 : Report
This project allow students to increase the understanding on the principle, ideas and contributing factors of Modern Architecture in the Klang Valley. Not only that, we will be able to analyse and identify specific architectural features of Modern Architecture in the Klang Valley throughout this project.
In group of 6, we had conducted a research and architectural analysis on Wisma Lee Building, Kuala Lumpur. We produced a report based on our researches.
REFLECTION
Through this assignment, I have increase my understanding on the principle, ideas and contributing factors of Modern Architecture in the Klang Valley.
